Youth Department have been a strong motivating organ of the MCC for younger generation in Myanmar. The main focus and activities of Youth Department are as follows;

National Ecumenical Youth Leadership Training

  1. To promote ecumenical leadership among youth and student in changing situation.

  2. To be responsible for promoting ecumenical activity for students and youth leadership in Myanmar.

  3. To promote and nurture ecumenical spirit especially among the rural church youth.

Rural Youth Development Training

  1. To build local network for the emergence of new ecumenical agenda at the rural and grassroot level.
  2. To promote health and ecumenical concern for the life and struggle of the rural people.
  3. To explore issue-based people oriented youth actions arising our of race and religion.

Cultural Action Workshop

  1. To promote cultural media for the identification of Kingdom value with the poor of both Buddhist majority culture and recial minority cultures.
  2. To express the God's Love and the message of the Gospel to various cultures.

 

Regional Council Youth Networking Building Seminar

  1. To build regional network for the emergence of new ecumenical agenda at the regional and grassroot level with the effort and cooperation of churches and youth organization within the respective region.
  2. To promote the ecumenical spirit and youth action despite race, culture, denomination and difference of faith.

 

Joint Training

  1. To promote deeper cooperation among youths of the member churches and regional council of churches and local churches.
  2. To promote the ecumenical sprite, education and awareness within the common programs of the churches.

 

Theological or Health or Business Seminar

  1. To encourage cooperation among the youth and student to impart theological or medical or economic views to ecumenical church youth leaders from all works of life.

 

Publication and Documentation

  1. To serve as an education tool in Youth movement.
  2. To promote the ecumenical spirit through ecumenical education.
  3. To encourage youth with news and views of unity activities, national and internationally.

 

Ecumenical Youth Team Action

  1. To build closer fellowship and relationship between youths of various denominations and in different organization.
  2. To promote and mobilize youth teams raising awareness promoting solidarity with the local churches.

 

Cultural Action Team

  1. To promote cultural media for the identification of Kingdom values within the poor of both Buddhist majority culture and racial minority cultures.
  2. To express the God's love and the message of the Gospel to various cultures.
  3. To serve as an education tool in Ecumenical Youth movement.

 

MCC Youth Internship Program

  1. To facilitate the implementation of the National Ecumenical Youth Leadership formation 2002.
  2. To work with the ecumenical Youth Movement in Myanmar and Rural Youth Network thought MCC Youth.

 

Documentation for Rural Youth Program

  1. To provide teaching materials in fields of ecumenical youth movement and youth ministry.
  2. To share news and missions activities with church youth

 

Special Program

  1. To Build close fellowship and relationship between youths of different denomination who are involved in different organization.
  2. To focus on the life and struggle of youth in present time and the future.
  3. To be informed of the nation's situation and international situation as well.
